BD BACTEC Peds Plus Medium, 50/box

BD BACTEC Peds Plus Media are specialised media that accommodate small-volume samples to help optimally detect common paediatric and nonpaediatric organisms. An enriched soybean-casein digest broth, the medium contains resins for antibiotic neutralisation.

BD BACTEC Peds Plus Media Features:

  • BD BACTEC Peds Plus/F culture vials (enriched Soybean-Casein Digest broth with CO2) are for aerobic blood cultures
  • Principal use is with the BD BACTEC fluorescent series instruments for the qualitative culture and recovery of aerobic microorganisms (mainly bacteria and yeast) from pediatric and non-pediatric blood specimens which are generally less than 5 mL in volume
  • The prepared culture vials are for in vitro diagnostic use
