Control Solution

Control Solution is used to test and evaluate the accuracy of a glucometer. Control solution is available in high or low glucose levels and should be used with a compatible meter. The glucometer should be tested on a regular basis to ensure accuracy, such as when a new vial of test strips is opened, after any incidents that may have caused damage or on a weekly basis.
