Lancets are an essential component of any EMS team's diabetic supplies. They are used for capillary blood sampling, particularly for fingersticks to get a small blood sample for testing in a glucometer. To prevent cross-contamination, all lancets are intended for single use and come with concealed needles or needle protectors to prevent accidental needlestick injuries.
