The iTClamp Hemorrhage Control Device is for use in the extremities, axilla, inguinal, scalp and neck. The device seals the edges of a wound closed to mitigate further blood loss until the wound can be surgically repaired. The iTClamp temporarily closes the wound, forming a hematoma that remains contained until the pressure equalizes with the bleeding source. Blood flow then stops, creating a stable clot until the wound can be surgically repaired.
