The SSCOR VX-2 Portable Suction is a lightweight, portable, powerful and "firefighter" tough, battery powered suction unit. The VX-2 is powerful enough to meet state, national and international standards for portable suction equipment (>30 lpm airflow and >525mmHg negative pressure), and versatile enough to provide essential medical suction inside and outside the vehicle.

The SSCOR VX-2 features an advanced battery maintenance system. The 3 LED, 5 position battery indicator alerts the user when the device is being charged as well as the condition of the internal sealed lead acid battery as the suction unit is sitting on charge. Additional LED as indicate when the VX-2 is plugged in to a power source and when the pump is running. The battery maintenance system allows the device to be plugged in at all times without over charging the device. Additionally, the battery maintenance system monitors the battery voltage as the device is running and alerts the user when the voltage is getting low. When the battery voltage is depleted and the suction unit is no longer able to operate to specifications, the battery maintenance system disconnects the battery from the vacuum pump protecting the battery from a deep discharge condition which can lengthen the life of the battery. The battery maintenance system also features a low battery capacity alert system that lets you know when it is time to change your battery. The LEDs on the front panel will begin to blink when the device is operated with a low capacity battery.

The device also features outward facing controls that are easily accessible during operation and a variable regulator and gauge. The variable regulator allows the negative pressure to be adjusted quickly between <50 to >525mmHg with a quarter turn of the knob to provide reduced vacuum for tracheal and pediatric procedures as well as vacuum less than 50mmHg for neonates.

The SSCOR VX-2 has the ability to be mounted to the action wall of a vehicle and used as an onboard suction device. When it is removed from the action wall, it can be used as a portable suction device outside the vehicle!

SSCOR VX-2 Portable Suction Features:

  • Compliant with SAE J3043 standards*
  • When the device is on the charging/retention bracket the device runs using the vehicle battery and uses the vehicle battery to charge the internal sealed lead acid battery
  • The device can be removed from the charging /retention bracket with one hand
  • Fully adjustable regulator and gauge. Achieves negative pressure ratings to any point between <50mmHg to >525mmHg to perform a full range of suction procedures
  • Well protected yet easily accessible suction canister
  • Outward facing controls allow the operator to easily operate the device while it is on the charging/retention bracket.
  • IPX4 rated for resistance to ingress of fluids
  • Internal battery care system with external indicators
  • Ramps up incoming voltage to optimally charge the battery
  • Provides a float charge when the battery is fully charged to avoid over-charging
  • Disconnects a depleted battery to avoid destructive deep discharge
  • LED indicators on the front panel show battery condition
  • Sealed Lead Acid Battery makes replacing the battery affordable. SSCOR will replace the battery free of charge if the battery does not perform to specifications within three years of purchase (SSCOR VX-2 with Charging/Retention Bracket only)
  • The SSCOR VX-2 with Charging/Retention Bracket series is not recommended for hospital use

NOTE: If you purchase a SSCOR VX-2 without the charging/retention bracket you cannot retrofit the device to accommodate the bracket at a later date.
