Efficacy of Actril

AMBUstat is the first affordable and easy to use bio-decontamination program, designed specifically for prehospital and public heath spaces, utilizing an atomized cold sterilant to decontaminate surfaces that ultraviolet light cannot reach effectively. The AMBUstat program makes it easy and cost effective to achieve up to a 6-log reduction in surfaceborne pathogens across a multitude of spaces that were previously considered inconceivable.

The Premiere Solution for Bio-Decontamination

Biological contaminants are microorganisms that can be harmful to human or animal health if inhaled, swallowed or otherwise absorbed into the body. These potentially life-threatening contaminants include viruses, bacteria and fungi. Pandemic dangers are increasing and can leave the general public defenseless. One only has to think back to the recent Ebola Virus scare to realize how vulnerable the public felt at the time.

AMBUstat was created due to the panic associated with these recent pandemic threats. AMBUstat is a portable environmental surface bio-decontamination program that is safe, effective and affordable. The AMBUstat program utilizes an atomized cold sterilant to decontaminate surfaces that ultra-violet light cannot. The AMBUstat bio-decontamination program is perfect for prehospital care surfaces such as ambulances and crew areas. Other spaces such as holding cells, gyms, public shower rooms, hotel rooms, classrooms, commercial kitchens, dining rooms, assisted living facilities, meeting facilities, government offices and private facilities can also benefit from the AMBUstat program.

Another of the many benefits of the AMBUstat bio-decontamination program is that it as easy to use and requires just a few instructions to begin. Plug it in, turn on the fogger and leave. The device atomizes the cold sterilant into microdroplets, creating a cold dry fog that inactivates and destroys pathogens.

The bio-decontamination process is relatively short, meaning there as little downtime for the space being cleaned. A small space, such as an ambulance, can be thoroughly decontaminated with a high level of disinfection within only 40 minutes. Plus, the AMBUstat process is safe for sensitive electronics as the micro-droplets are only in contact with the surfaces long enough to get the job done, evaporating over the course of the dwell and ventilation periods, leaving the surfaces residue-free.

AMBUstat is highly effective, being able to achieve up to a 6-log reduction in surfaceborne pathogens across a multitude of surfaces. No other bio-decontamination program is as effective for the price. In fact, the closest comparable solution is six times the cost of the AMBUstat bio-decontamination program.

We live in a world where pathogens are a serious threat to our entire community as well being. AMBUstat is the portable and affordable solution that delivers a high-level disinfection to a wide variety of surfaces and spaces sterilizing spaces for safer places.

The AMBUstat bio-decontamination program was originally designed to decontaminate prehospital care surfaces in spaces such as ambulances and gear storage rooms; however, the program is also the perfect solution for decontaminating any space where surfaceborne, airborne and bloodborne pathogens are likely to reside. These spaces include (but are not limited to) holding cells, treatment rooms, clinics, gyms, laboratories, public shower rooms, hotel rooms, classrooms, commercial kitchens, dining rooms, assisted living facilities, meeting facilities, government offices and other public and private facilities.

  • Any space in advance of a medical center, or reliable source for definitive care, where patient or client services are provided, such as fire, rescue, emergency medical services and general public health.
  • Any space involving austere conditions and/or portable shelters where the optimization of manpower readiness and national defense is of critical concern.
  • Any space involving austere conditions and/or portable shelters where the optimization of manpower readiness and national defense is of critical concern.
  • Any space associated with housing of persons arrested for, convicted of, or sentenced for criminal offenses where preservation of health is of critical concern to the community due to the socioeconomic consequences associated with the care of sick inmates and staffing considerations.
  • Any space associated with the routine encounter of dangerous conditions and the general public in a capacity of providing protection of the community and the enforcement of its laws.
  • Any space involving austere conditions and/or portable shelters, whereas the stabilization and preservation of the community's health is of critical concern due to natural or intentional disasters, such as tornadoes, hurricanes, pandemic outbreaks or bombings.
  • It is now possible to achieve a high-level disinfection of small spaces, such as an ambulance, with only 40 minutes of downtime - including the removal of all visible organic and inorganic matter, through the following series of steps:
    • Step 1: Fogger: Following mechanical cleaning of all surfaces, the AMBUstat system runs for the appropriate amount of time. During this time, the device atomizes the Actril Cold Sterilant into a cold dry fog that destroys pathogens. (10 Minutes)
    • Step 2: Dwell Period: The Actril Cold Sterilant must stay in contact with the targeted surfaces for a specified length of time (approx. 15 minutes). This is known as ËœDwell a or ËœContact a time. (15 Minutes)
    • Step 3: Ventilation: The micro droplets evaporate during the ventilation time, leaving the targeted surfaces bio-decontaminated and residue-free. (10 Minutes)
    • Step 4: Job Complete: Finally, the space is decontaminated and ready to go back into service. (5 Minutes)

AMBUstat 360°C
The AMBUstat program was launched because of the reality that pathogenic microorganisms are often carelessly mishandled in spaces where there should be an expectation of their residency.

AMBUstat originally began in late 2014 as an effort to identify a resource to assist first responders in their efforts to react to and manage the Ebola Virus pandemic scare. That effort evolved into a commitment to develop a system designed specifically to deploy an appropriate decontamination agent that would be adopted as a standard around the globe; satisfying economical, environmental, political and societal concerns.

However, once the early prototypes of the system were deployed for evaluation, we quickly learned that, regardless of how effective our system might be, we needed to wrap a very strong proactive program around it. The program would resolve a resource deficiency that exists, despite a seemingly endless list of resources dedicated to the issue of infection prevention and control.

We quickly determined that we must take the lead in educating prehospital first responders in the basics of proactive infection prevention and control principles. Along with the development of a strong peer network and a catalog of best practices, our system includes a comprehensive program that can be rolled out around the world. With such a strong program, public health officials - from local to federal levels - can best communicate their needs and maintain effective action plans that can be modified swiftly to respond to emerging threats.

The Ebola Virus pandemic scare taught us that prehospital first responders waited on the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) with bated breath to determine how they should manage the threat. Had our AMBUstat program already been in place, these brave men and women would have never been in that situation. With AMBUstat, agencies around the globe could have already been adequately conditioned to manage the threats posed by pathogenic microorganisms and they would have already been thoroughly decontaminating their spaces after every patient or client encounter.

With this standardized conditioning, first responders would have only been primed to identify specific symptoms and adjust their care plans respectively, rather than find themselves scrambling for solutions and starving for direction.

AMBUstat 360°C is the program that wraps around the system and it comes with every unit sold. With AMBUstat 360°C, you aren at simply making an investment in a product, you are making an investment in a program that will be there with you a sustainable program with the essential buy-in across the organization.
